Editorial Policy
Propwise.sg explains the Singapore property market so that you can make your own decisions. This page sets out how we work.
Independence
We write for readers, not for sellers. Our new-launch reviews describe each project in neutral terms, compare its price with its neighbours using URA data, and leave the verdict to you. A guest article carries its writer’s name and gives that writer’s view.
We do not give personal financial advice. We explain the rules, the costs and the trade-offs. What suits you depends on your income, your plans and your appetite for risk.
Sources
Every number, rule and rate in an article comes with its source and its date. We use official sources first: URA, HDB, IRAS, MAS, the CPF Board, the Land Transport Authority, the Department of Statistics and data.gov.sg. For news and market views we cite the original reporter or the named analyst and their firm.
We never invent a transaction, a price, a quote or a person. When the official figure is a flash estimate, we say so, and we add the final figure when it is published.
Data that stays current
Many figures in our articles update by themselves. When URA, HDB or MAS publish new data, the charts, rule tables and the numbers in our guides refresh on the same day. Each one shows the period it covers (“as at Q3 2026”). The data page lists each source, when it releases, and the licence it is published under.
Keeping articles up to date
Rules and prices change, so an article shows the date it was last updated. We update an evergreen guide in place when a rule changes, rather than publishing a new copy. An older article that has been replaced carries a link to the newer guide. An article that has not been revised for some years carries a note that figures may have changed.
New-launch reviews get dated updates at the top, newest first: one week, one month, and three, six and twelve months after the launch, with URA’s sales figures.
How articles are produced
Articles are written by Mr. Propwise, the Propwise Editorial desk or a named guest contributor. We use software, including AI tools, to gather data, build charts and tables, and prepare drafts. Every article is reviewed by Mr. Propwise before it is published, and he is responsible for what we publish.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Email info@propwise.sg with the article link and what needs correcting. We correct factual errors as soon as we have checked them, and a material correction updates the article’s “Updated” date.
Comments
Readers can comment on any article. Every comment is read before it appears. Comments may not contain links, and we remove spam, personal attacks and anything unlawful. Your email address is never shown; how we store it is set out in the privacy policy.
Pictures
Charts, tables and diagrams on Propwise are drawn from the data sources above. Developer images appear only with the developer’s permission. Maps use OpenStreetMap data, credited on each map.
